Members can serve SABA-DC through any of the following committees. If you are interested in serving on a committee, please email us at sabadc@sabadc.org.
Endorsements Committee: Evaluate the qualifications of candidates for appointments
who request SABA-DC's endorsement. Maintain appropriate questionnaires for
candidates, conduct due diligence on candidates, hold personal interview, and vote on
recommendation to the Board. Whenever possible, identify potential South Asian candidates for vacant positions
and encourage them to apply.

Fundraising Committee: Raise sponsorship funds for SABA-DC's yearly Public Interest Fellowship, which which is awarded each year to law students working in the field of public interest law on issues affecting the South Asian community.

Mentorship Committee: Develop and implement membership services and initiatives,
including our one-on-one Mentorship Program and career panels.

Public Interest Committee: Develop, coordinate, and implement SABA-DC’s outreach effort
to the D.C. South Asian community; educate the community about its legal
rights and responsibilities. Work with and through existing community organizations and
governmental agencies serving South Asians in the D.C. area to the extent possible.
